Animator. Worldbuilder. Storyteller in digital spaces.
Hi, I’m Jessica Young, I’m an animator and VR content creator with a background in theme parks, digital media, and immersive storytelling.
I studied illustration and animation at BYU–Idaho, and I’ve been creating in Maya, After Effects, and Photoshop ever since. My focus in school was keyframe character animation, but I also love working across pipelines and figuring out how to bring ideas to life, whether it’s in 2D, 3D, or VR.
Since 2020, I’ve been building worlds in Horizon Worlds (Meta’s social VR platform), where I create interactive spaces, host weekly K-Pop events, and explore what digital storytelling looks like in shared virtual spaces. My work has been featured on the Oculus Blog, and I’ve been part of events like SpringJam, POPMJam, MHCP Mobile Genre Showdown, and Meta’s official K-Pop After Party. I’ve also been honored to participate in the Meta Horizon Creator Program and Meta Quest Affiliate program as a content creator.
Before all this, I worked at Disneyland and Walt Disney World as an Attractions Hostess, where I learned the power of a well-run experience and how much storytelling really matters, even when it’s moving 3K+ people per hour.
If you’re curious about my animation work, virtual builds, or event experience, feel free to poke around or reach out. I’m always open to new creative projects.
